“you have given him a set of rules and behaviors that gave him the confidence and self esteem to meet all kinds of dogs on an equal footing”
Alice, I went to the Nat Geo filming today. Dante was so good I can’t tell you how proud I was of him. At first, I put him in the little dog enclosure but when I found out they weren’t going to film there, I decided to venture into the big one. There were many large dogs including pits, mastiffs, big poodles and larger, and they all came up to Dante to say hi. He was totally calm, respectful, not intimidated at all, like he has been in the past. No one tried to jump on him – I think because he had a presence and a confidence that the other dogs could read. He ran around, he sniffed, he played and never once acted bad or questionable at all. I know this is all because of you and your excellent training. I believe that you have given him a set of rules and behaviors that gave him the confidence and self esteem to meet all kinds of dogs on an equal footing. He was acting out before because he was afraid. Now, he has the emotional strength to deal with anything and anybody that comes his way. I am so happy and proud you can’t believe it. We will see you on Sunday at “dOggie bOOt cAmp” and hopefully this will be his way of behaving from now on.
Luv,
